We are delighted to welcome Sean Urquhart to our Networking Reception on Thursday 5th May to give us a short presentation on LAFHA and recent changes through the 417 and 457 Visa programmes alongside how things change as you move towards Permanent Residency. Sean is a subject matter expert having recently produced a report for Sky News in Australia and is an entertaining & accessible orator.

We would encourage new members and prospective members to attend, connect with relevant people in the room and build your business networks in Australia.

This event is supported by Guinness, Finance Professionals and Luminant Talent Consulting.

Recent events have seen a number of business and job opportunities emerge for attendees and we hope that this continues over the series of networking functions in 2011.

Well, what a fantastic event and great to see so much business done and contacts made on the day. We look forward to welcoming our new members from the day. Andy and Rens gave a masterclass in instrumentalism and Mundy was superb, both at the lunch and the after-party. Pat McKernan added to the entertainment at the after-party and we all saw our friends leave happy and looking forward to next year.

For everyone who was disappointed this year and missed the sold out deadline, we hope that you will make sure that you have the chance to join us on St. Patrick's Day next year.

December Networking Event, 3rd December 2010

A great evening was had by all at the December networking event. Eoin Casey from Kerry, a recent arrival in Melbourne and a lawyer with MSB Lawyers was the first name drawn out as the winner of the U2 tickets. Eoin was in a bit of a dilemma as he was just about to leave for a trip down the Great Ocean Road for the weekend and generously allowed the tickets to be redrawn.

Pierce Reynolds from Pierce Bodyworks was the lucky man in the second round and went on to enjoy a great show across at Etihad Stadium.

Thanks to all those who attended, we hope that you made some useful connections and we look forward to your continuing support.
